Honestly, 1 – 0 is the fair result. That being said. Brazil aren’t exactly at their best. Whoateallthepies Ronaldo is not what he used to be. Fair enough he set up the Adriano goal but his ability to take on defenders and pull off the miracle goal is gone.
Dukes and Kewell seem to be trying too hard to score. They should relax and take their shots instead of rushing them.
It’s great to see the country finally getting behind the boys. The FFA should notice this support and start scheduling more games, at home preferably. Yes we will be playing more games in Asia but every time there is a friendly date available let’s get our boys on the park. Not our "reserve" team but our Full squad. Every time we have an international, let’s get our best available side on the park.
Also, I think the local association here in Albury/Wodonga have dropped the ball big time. Why haven’t they got together with one of the local clubs and heavily promote a venue for all supporters to get together and watch the games? This sort of thing shouldn’t be left to the big cities. We have the venues and I’m sure we have the support. The club would make a bit of cash just with bar sales. The only thing you have heard from the local body is from their President self promoting himself because he happened to coach one of the lads as a junior. Stop promoting yourself and do what is good for the game. Promote it.
Based on this performance, I’m convinced we will get a result against Croatia and stuff history once and for all. Send this old bloke back to the nursing home where he belongs and have him heavily sedated so we don’t have to listen to his rubbish anymore.
