Just Dumb

Yesterday some bored, possibly unloved, soul decided it would be fun to light a fire in Nail Can Hill. For his efforts, he burnt some bush, caused some smoke and caused some firefighters to have a trip to hospital.

 

These firefighters are my friends. We volunteer our time to protect and educate the community. When are people going to learn that fire, although it may look exciting, is dangerous. These firefighters (volunteers or paid) risk their lives whenever they get onto a truck. I hope that whoever you are, whenever you get caught you are made to visit the burns ward. You should see first hand what fire does.

 

Fire is not a toy. It’s a living breathing monster that consumes everthing in it’s path. Treat it with care but don’t deliberately unleash it.

Recipe for Tiredness

If you ever want to be so tired it takes two days to fully recover then I have the perfect recipe:

  Get someone to organise a camp for 30 odd teenagers;

  Walk 3/4 of the way up some stupid hill at Goombargana;

  Play cricket until your arms nearlly drop off.

 

But apart from all that the weekend was great. We got to study God’s word, enjoy in fellowship and generally have fun.

I think Oasis must have a new album coming out here in oz, not that I listen to their crap.

 

I’ll give it to frontman Noel Gallagher though, he knows that controversary creates cash.  Why else woud he come out and say that "Football is for the intelligentsia and we know s*** about it" when referring to the Socceroos?

 

Well Noel, if football is for the intelligentsia then what would you know about it? Certaintly anyone who supports Manchester City shouldn’t be comparing one’s intelligence to that of the elite.  What would a Man City fan know about winning anything? I can’t remember them winning anything. They’d probably struggle winning the league in the local Under 9’s comp. You talk about Australia not being able to win anything? Then Man City should have given up before they even started.

 

And what’s this about you wanting to slap Timmy Cahill? Go right ahead mate, but first tell me,

 

Seriously Noel, do us a favour stop making that noise you produce, it’s crap.

 

Also, it seems you can’t wait to come to Australia to watch the Ashes. What, are you in that much of a hurry to see your team lose and be called a Pommy Bastard? But then again, you’re used to watching losers play because you support Manchester City.

 

Honestly Noel, time for you into that empty trophy cabinet at the City of Manchester stadium and hibernate until City beat the local masters league wooden spooners.
