Dart and Back

The dreaded go away and come back stressed has struck again.

This weekend the family and I travelled up to Dartmouth for the annual Flanagan trip away. Had a great time. Spent a few hours in the pub, few hours fishing and the rest relaxing. The folk up at Dart are just so warm and friendly.

Any came back Sunday, picked the kids up after they came down from Gosford for their two week adventure.

Monday morning, had the real estate come around for an inspection. She told me that she had some complaints from the Neighbours. Some were justified, some totally not.

She told me that one of the neighbours has said that I leave the kids home alone. Apart from the fact that Liam will probably burn the place down, that is something I just wouldn’t do. I have my suspicions of who it is. I am just so ticked off about it.

Thankfully God knows my troubles and will help me through

:) All better now.

Wandering (Wondering)

How I’m longing for the weekend again.

On Saturday, I took the opportunity to get away for the weekend and decided to go visit Ben in Seymour. Only thing was he wasn’t there when I got there.

Hightailed it from there up to Shep where I spent the night in a motel. There is something surreal about just getting away by oneself and working through life’s issues. It gave me some direction to life’s little problems.

Anyway, left Shep early Sunday afternoon feeling pretty relaxed. As soon as I came over Dight’s Hill into Albury, I was feeling pretty stressed again. What is it with this town that stresses me out so much?

Got some issues to deal with Me thinks.

Also on the weekend were some pretty important footy games.

Firstly, AFL: Good to see Geelong win. I like the attitude of both the coaches. I think the new breed of young coaches that have moved away from the arrogance of the past is a fresh change. The game itself was anti-climatic. By the time I turned it on (half time) it was all over red rover.

The NRL: What is there to say. I’m relieved after the talk up I’ve been giving the Storm. Again, it was a bit anti-climatic. Good to see some old fashioned big hits in the opening minutes. Hard but fair. Sad to see some of the team moving on but as Craig Ballamy put it “That’s the system”.

The World Cup: The Wallabies won again beating the giants from Canada. That being said, the World Cup starts now. First game England and Wilkinson’s drop goals. If we shut him down, we’ll win. If not, then another wasted opportunity.

Not footy but cricket. Sad that we can’t get any coverage of the Australia v India series but by the looks of it we are giving them an absolute belting. If not for some rain we’d be two up with five to play. But seriously what is this series in aid of? Who really cares if we beat them in a one-day series. It’s test matches that matter and there should be a test match series first and foremost. By chasing the bucks is only going to lead to player burnout. At the moment Australia are down at least three players from injury. Surely that in itself is a wake up call.
