So hard to say goodbye

Snow Patrol – Run Lyrics

I’ll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You’ve been the only thing that’s right
In all I’ve doneAnd I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we’ll make it anywhere
Only for sure
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we’ll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can’t raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear

Louder, Louder
And we’ll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why can’t you raise your voice to say

Slower, slower
We don’t have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We’re bound to be afraid
Even if it’s just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear

We’re in drought, but….

The sun is out – the sky is blue
there’s not a cloud to spoil the view
but it’s raining – raining in my heart

The weather man says clear today
he doesn’t know you’ve gone away
and it’s raining – raining in my heart

Oh, misery – misery
what’s gonna become of me

I tell my blues they musn’t show
but soon these tears are bound to flow
cause it’s raining – raining in my heart

But it’s raining – raining in my heart

And it’s raining – raining in my heart

(Buddy Holly)

Very poorly done

As most of you know, I’ve taken a recent interest in watching Jane Austen movies. I know that some of my male friends have ridiculed me but I don’t really care. What is wrong with deciding to become cultural (or even trying to understand how women think)? In the most part I do actually enjoy them. Having seen Pride and Prejudice (both movie and BBC series), Sense and Sensibility and recently Emma. I’m not going to say I’m an expert. It’ll take years before I start reciting phrases like some people do.

Anyway, I have had some thoughts about how different life is now to back in Miss Austen’s time.

1) Relationships between men and women were much less complicated. It is obvious that there is a line that one must not cross unless wanting to take the relationship further, today that line is hard to find. The upside, people knew when you were interested in each other.

2) Men and women showed proper respect to one another. Bowing when one walks into a room should be brought back. Calling people Mr Darcy and Miss Bennett, now that should be brought back.
3) Marriages generally lasted. Not alot complicates a couple to force them to hate each other.
4) Parents are still as overburdening as ever.
5) Everyone knew where they stood.
These are just my thoughts. Now I just wait to be heckled huh? But seriously guys, I do recommend you watch at least one of these, you’ll never know, you might like them.

Reason to believe – Rod Stewart

(tim hardin)

If I listened long enough to you
Id find a way to believe that its all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself

If I gave you time to change my mind
Id find a way just to leave the past behind
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

If I listened long enough to you
Id find a way to believe that its all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself
