Well, who are you?

Watched Pride and Prejudice for the first time the other day. Apparently, according to the experts (girls from church), it is not the “real” version.

It’s a good story, though a bit difficult to follow while two kids are running wild around the house. Ended up putting the subtitles on so I could understand what they were saying.

I think I’d relate better with Mr. Bennett, who seems to care for his family, but does try to distance himself from their antics (that includes his wife). Though, he does seem to have a special place for Elizabeth and Jane.

For those who are expert in Jane Austen novels, please don’t judge my lack of knowledge, for I am a male.

Anyway, as such, there is a quiz to tell you who you are most like. I’m not going to tell you who I am like.

You're out

Having a pretty bad week.

Monday night we played cricket again. After not being dismissed in my last four games, I got out first ball. Not a good omen.

In the end, I got out myself twice and ran Gary out about five times. In the end we put on about 17 runs.

After my woeful effort with the bat, I didn’t like my chances in the field. However, after suggesting that Tristan open the bowling, I took a caught behind off him second ball. However in the end I think I took one catch and made two stumpings but dropped three catches and missed three stumpings.

Now comes my bowling. My first over went for -3. Not a bad start. First ball of my second over I took another wicket. So after 9 balls I had -8. However, my next seven deliveries went for 30.

Too make me feel even worse, it was a friend’s birthday last week. I thought I’d bought her the perfect gift. Little did I realise that she already had it. It took me ages to think of that. I am the worst person in the world in buying presents and was really pleased with myself that I had bought her something she’d like without asking anyone for advice.Baring teeth

I’m looking on the bright side though, things can’t possibly get any worse, Can they?

Is romance dead?

Remember when you tried to woo a girl before email and mobiles were around? How’d you do it?

I think it’s time to get back to basics.  This article from news.com.au applies to guys as much as the girls.
